Oktoberfest undercooked! Yuck

New: Review update. Sad news today, Captain Jack passed away over the weekend.
He just got a song released with DDR Extreme2. Seems he partied too hard.
His cds were already super expensive. I only have one - now I can forget completing the set. Sigh.
We Heart (love) Katamari - more of the same has fallen back to mediocre. I still wish I could turn faster, or play with the camera. About a third of the time I want a missile launcher to get rid of the king of cosmos talking in the middle of the screen. I just ain't feeling the same wacky out there quality. Where is the cute yellow family story? Already ran into a glitch where the impossible to navigate level selection level would not save my data. It seems like a typical rush-it-out-there sequel. On the plus side, there are some really fun moments like rolling up snow parts to make a snowman, or racing Katamari Style and rolling up the formula one cars. My fave level so far is rolling a skinny guy over food to fatten him into a sumo! Buy it only if you are a fan. PS2 The bible Game - I find out I have been ripped off by Wisdom Tree before. For years I have been forced to play these horrid, cleverly hidden, Mormon manufactured titles. The real goal of the game is to rip off the Christians who only let their kids play "Christian" games. They have the outright nerve to say things like "The WHOLE story and intents of God are told in this tale." A red baron barnstorming flight game for God? Come on. This line burns me up: "God spares no expense..." The saddest thing of all is that a Bible game done well would rule. Levitical RPG, apocalyptic ecclesiastical Sword of God! Ok, Mormons have like a bazillion dollars, so why can't they do it right? Instead we get 8 bit art work where the menu systems are a pain. Which one is highlighted? The trivia questions are WAY trivial, and unrelated. Foggy and incorrect answers... Consider: Q. How many times did Joshua march around Jericho? A. Seven. Yay! Correct? Umm, Seven? Try thirteen! Sigh. They could have been themed or categorized. This is so sad. The funny part is that they were the first to rip off and circumvent nintendo's licenses for their console. LOL Piracy can be fun! As if the outbreak of looney tunes movies weren't insulting enough... someone should be arrested for what they did to Looney Tunes. (loonatics) Then the executives sit there puzzled as to why the kids ratings are weak. Sad part is that all entertainment media have the same problem lately. Then they have the audacity to sue and blame the consuming public for the entertainment slump. How can movie and record label people sleep at night? Yanking out the dreamcast again, as usual I am shocked and impressed. What a system! And two full years before PS2. Ikaruga is so beautiful. Such a complicated dance of light vs. dark in a top-down shooter. I love how there are always so many bullets there is no available empty spot for your ship. You must pick the right ones to run into: ![]() Many of the best titles do end up crossing over, but they lose some of their smoothness. Skies, Grandia, PSO, Soul Caliber... Then there are all the wonderful wacky games that only came out on DC, like Bangai-o, Chu-chu rocket, Ooga Booga... I digress. As if that was not budget draining enough, this month will likely see the need to purchase:
So basically it is time for me to look for a second job or mortgage. I still cannot believe Rusty got to mosh a school bus! ![]()
Reviews are STILL in production for Debbies deli - maker of fine sandwiches, the local tortillarias, several meals you can get from mobile trailers, and our first attempt at a homemade BlueScreen... One more thing, someone remind me to make a generic page layout instead of one for each page. Also badly need a navigation system. The search engines are being lazy and not crawling my old content.
Rusty was da proverbial bomb!![]() Previous Update (Frost Gelato)
